Every 70 seconds someone develops Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s disease is predicted to nearly double every twenty years, and as many as 5.3 million people in the United States already are living with it. Alzheimer’s disease was the sixth leading cause of death, across all ages, in the United States in 2006, though for those 65 or older, it was the fifth.
